Mediterranean cuisine, with views over the promenade and the bay
The “Mediterraneo” restaurant
The products of the sea and the land of the countries around the Mediterranean are the essential ingredients of typical Mediterranean cuisine, and every day they make up the dishes offered to the guests of the “Mediterraneo” restaurant of Hotel Pietra di Luna in Maiori.
The products (olive oil, citrus fruits, including the Sfusato Amalfitano, vegetables, cheeses and cured meats, fish and meat) are carefully chosen and seasonal. Supplies are sourced locally as far as possible, every day, to always have fresh products. The dishes are prepared in respect of the culinary tradition of the Amalfi Coast.
The recipes, many of them of ancient tradition, originate from the gastronomic specialities of Amalfi, Ravello, Maiori, Praiano and Positano. Our chefs work with the greatest attention to the basic principle of Mediterranean cuisine: “eat well, but above all eat healthy”. Ours is simply “Mediterranean cuisine”, and it is absolutely not a “diet”, as it is often wrongly identified or confused.
The culinary offer is complemented by a wine list ranging from Amalfi Coast labels (Ravello, Furore, Tramonti) to Campania wines (Taurasi, Falanghina, Greco di Tufo, Pallagrello, Coda di Volpe) and the rest of Italy (Barolo, Brunello, Amarone).
The restaurant, spacious and bright, enjoys a spectacular view over the promenade and the bay of Maiori, stretching from the Norman Tower to the Miramare Castle and the hill of Ravello. Our all-local staff awaits you for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and welcomes hotel guests, non-residents and small banquets.
