Here at The Amalfi Experience, we work at some of the area’s most beautiful wedding venues and Hotel Santa Caterina remains a firm favourite in our collection, so we couldn’t have been happier when Anna & Luke chose this setting for their special day.
DREAMY, ELEGANT, PERFECTION…
“Our wedding day was perfect. We experienced light rain in the morning, with the Italian sunshine peeking through by noon. It really was the most beautiful day, orchestrated with extreme perfected detail. It was everything we dreamt of and more!”
Anna wanted to channel Audrey Hepburn vibes (but with a modern twist) for her aisle style. The bride explains, “I wore my hair in big, loose Hollywood curls. The left side was pinned back slightly, all playing into the elegance of ‘Old Hollywood’. I wore my grandmother’s vintage gold diamond bracelet and sapphire / diamond earrings my husband gave me on the morning of our wedding.” Make-up wise, Anna opted for a natural glow so that it felt like her every day look but a little more illuminated. Her dress was modern yet classic, with the bride donning a show-stopping Oscar de la Renta strapless, ivory gown with a lace veil. Her shoes were silver with subtle floral detailing, finished off with a large bridal bouquet brimming with peonies.
The couple opted to host their wedding day at Hotel Santa Caterina, a jaw dropping wedding venue in Amalfi. Anna tell us, “My husband and I had visited Hotel Santa Caterina the year prior. Jokingly he mentioned eloping on this trip – I knew then I couldn’t imagine another location for our big day. It is a Michelin Star resort – they catered the meal and it was incredible. Steak, fish, pasta – our favourites perfectly put together in one meal.”
They styled their wedding venue with all-white in-season flowers and a plethora of greenery, paired with touches of luxe gold and dripping candles for a romantic feel. Anna & Luke also had dainty lights hanging from the ceiling and lighting the path for their guests to follow. “I still think of the dream setting every day!” says Anna. The couple opted for strings at their wedding, along with a local fivesome at cocktail hour, jazz at the seated dinner and a DJ to dance the night away.

“Seeing it all come together. Planning overseas gave this perfectionist constant anxiety, but on the day of, everything came together better than I had imagined. Being able to see it come to life and celebrate the beauty of the scenery and our new marriage was the most amazing experience.”
