From the hustle and bustle of Positano to the intimacy and romance of Amalfi, the Amalfi Coast has an array of swoon-worthy settings for couples to celebrate their love story. It comes as no surprise to us that Lauren and Ross were instantly smitten with Ravello, with its winding roads, cobbled streets, boutique restaurants and unrivalled views. It is also home to Palazzo Avino, also fondly known as the Pink Place, an exquisite Ravello wedding venue. Hidden within the hillside, Lauren and Ross stumbled across this paradise and just knew it was the perfect location to tie the knot. Join us as we delve into all the utterly beautiful details of their big day, where you’ll unravel oodles of inspiration for your very own Ravello wedding…
Similarly to many of our other couples here at The Amalfi Experience, Lauren and Ross wanted to make the most of their time on the Amalfi Coast with their loved ones and chose to extend their ceremony. They kick-started their nuptials by spoiling their friends and family with a luxury pre-wedding boat party, which is one of our most popular services to organise. The couple sailed around the coastline while soaking up the sunshine and sipping on champagne, tucking into canapés and dancing the day away. The event was the epitome of laidback luxury!
When the day of their Ravello wedding arrived, preparations began where Kristen Kilpatrick Photography was on hand to capture every moment as it unfolded. The bride-to-be gracefully stepped into her fitted floor-length silk gown, completed with a pair of glamorous heels that added a subtle hint of sparkle to her aisle style. An elegant up-do and radiant make-up finished the look and Lauren was without a doubt, wedding-ready!
Opting to have an intimate first look, Lauren and Ross made their way to one another within the grounds of Palazzo Avino (where the backdrops are endlessly gorgeous). Upon setting eyes on each other, they were overcome with emotion and the moment set the scene for the day ahead.
Their alfresco-style ceremony was hosted in Palazzo Avino’s glorious gardens. As guests made their way to their seats, they were in awe of the floral magic created by Malafronte Fiori (Armando never fails to amaze us at The Amalfi Experience). Bright, bold and blousy blooms adorned the aisle, accompanied by a matching flower installation that awaited the couple at the altar. The floral design was the perfect way to showcase Lauren and Ross’ vibrant, colourful and playful personalities while maintaining the luxury of the occasion.
Following the ‘I Dos’, the couple hopped into a charming vintage car (which Malafronte Fiori had also styled with floral delights) and the newlyweds snuck off for their couple portraits with their photographer. Meanwhile, guests made their way to the drinks reception to begin the celebrations. As the Amalfi sunset slowly painted the sky with its pastel brushstrokes, the atmosphere became electric.
Dining in the great outdoors, everyone made their way to the most wonderful dining set-up. Pillow-soft pink blooms dazzled under the twinkle of glamorous chandeliers, offering a modern yet sophisticated vibe that the couple were hoping for. Personalised candles flickered amongst the overflowing vases of flowers, with seashells that had been carefully illustrated for personalised table place names – a creative and thoughtful addition to their tablescape. The chefs at Palazzo Avino whipped up the most delicious feast, immersing the couple and their loved ones in true authentic Italian cuisine, served with delicious wines and fizz.
After the meal, everyone made their way to the poolside to witness the cutting of the cake as a toast was made to the newlyweds. Guests hit the dance-floor, made their way through cocktails and danced the night away under the stars. The celebration was rounded off as we lit the sky with fireworks, offering an iconic end to a weekend brimming with happiness, laughter and most importantly, love.
As luxury wedding planners on the Amalfi Coast, it brings us a huge amount of joy to be able to work with couples across their world to bring their Ravello wedding dreams to life. Thank you to Lauren and Ross for entrusting our team at The Amalfi Experience – the pleasure was all ours! Just a little reminder that our diaries are open for 2024/2025 so we welcome you to enquire if you’d like to find out more about our wedding planning services.
