The array of exquisite wedding venues on offer surrounding the Amalfi Coast never fails to take our breath away, and our expert wedding planning team at The Amalfi Experience count ourselves as incredibly lucky to be able to explore them on a regular basis. And one Ravello wedding venue that has always captured our heart is Villa Cimbrone, one of the area’s most coveted locations to tie the knot. So, when Rebecca and Eric also happened to fall head over heels with the setting, we just knew that we’d be able to curate the Amalfi Coast wedding of their dreams. We welcome you to keep scrolling and delve into their beautiful wedding in Ravello…
Following a charming pre-wedding welcome dinner at Trattoria da Lorenzo with their favourite people, the couple awoke on the morning of the wedding, full of anticipation and excitement for what was to come. The Italian sunshine painted the sky a beautiful golden hue, promising the perfect backdrop for Rebecca and Eric’s infinity moment. The bride began getting ready with her wedding party, where the champagne was popped and the glam squad arrived. Piero Mansi was on hand to style Rebecca’s hair, while Alessia Sirena created an effortlessly elegant make-up look. The bride stepped into a strapless ballgown-inspired dress, featuring a fitted bodice and subtly sparkling sequin detailing. Her royal blue designer shoes were the perfect nod to her ‘Something Blue’, and her dazzling bejewelled tiara added a flourishing finishing touch. The talented team at Malafronte Fiori had worked their floral magic, with a bridal bouquet that was overflowing with pillow-soft ivory blooms. Bridesmaids looked fabulous in rose gold / copper gowns, while the groom and his groomsmen looked incredibly handsome in navy suits that were paired with pink accessories.
There is something so indescribably special about a ‘first look’ and it is something that as luxury wedding planners, we are seeing more and more throughout our weddings. Rebecca and Eric chose to have first look moment within the manicured gardens of Villa Cimbrone, with Gianni Di Natale Photographers there to capture their love story as it unfolded.
The Tea Room is one of the most beautiful spaces to exchange vows, so it came as no surprise when Rebecca and Eric chose it as the setting for their outdoor ceremony. This enchanting and whimsical secret garden is tucked away within the grounds of this Ravello wedding venue, with historic pillars that had been artfully entwined with blush pink and ivory roses. We had collaborated with the couple to provide an array of personalised details for guests to enjoy, including fans placed on each ceremony chair as a wedding favour (and a refreshing way to keep cool in the Italian sunshine). A string quartet welcomed the bride down the aisle, adding to the ambiance and emotion of the ceremony. Rebecca and Eric’s loved ones watched on as the couple said ‘I Do’ – this is a moment that for us, never gets old.
Following the ceremony, the couple headed off with Gianni to document their newlywed photographs, making the most of the wonderful and endless photograph opportunities on offer at Villa Cimbrone. With its sweeping, panoramic views and architectural delights, The Belvedere Terrace is a favourite spot amongst our couples – it’s also a photographer’s dream! Meanwhile, Rebecca and Eric’s friends and family celebrated with champagne and delectable canapés before it was time for the wedding dinner.
As everyone glided into The Crypt, one of the most iconic spaces at Villa Cimbrone, everyone was in awe of the set-up. Statement chandeliers twinkled and added a dash of extra luxury to the space, while tablescapes were laden with intricate floral designs and flickering candles. And if the décor wasn’t enough to stop you in your tracks, the views across the Ravello coastline would certainly make your heart skip a beat. We can’t picture a more unforgettable scene to wine, dine and make memories with your loved ones! And of course, the catering team at Villa Cimbrone whipped up a mouth-watering meal incorporating local cuisine and Italian tradition – which was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
As the evening drew in, the bride changed her wedding day attire into a decadent fit and flare lace gown, ready to cut the cake with her new husband. As they made the first slice, cheers echoed within the room, bubbles were lifted in unison and sparklers lit up the room. Guests then hit the dance-floor and partied the night away with the newlyweds, with the laughter, smiles and atmosphere telling a thousand stories of just how magical Rebecca and Eric’s wedding at Villa Cimbrone had been.
We’d just like to take the time to say a heartfelt thank you to Rebecca and Eric for choosing The Amalfi Experience to bring your vision to life. We adored every minute of working with you to curate your exquisite Amalfi Coast wedding.
