Tucked away amongst the labyrinth of lanes that lead to Ravello, you’ll stumble upon Villa Eva, a private villa and wedding venue where panoramic sea views and cliffside gardens are a given. It comes as no surprise to us that Gianna and Marco were smitten with this setting upon visiting, and they knew immediately that it was the perfect Ravello wedding venue to host their love story. After a busy wedding season on the Amalfi Coast, we couldn’t be happier to take the time to look back on some of our recent weddings that we’ve had the pleasure of planning. So, without further ado, get scrolling and soak up the romance in Ravello…
The morning of the wedding day arrived, and the Italian weather did not disappoint, with warm and glorious sunshine beaming down on Villa Eva as the bride began getting ready with her bridal party. She looked an utter vision in a fit and flare lace gown featuring a statement open back – paired with a chic hairstyle and a bouquet brimming with velvet-soft red roses put together by the talented team at Amalfi Coast Florist. The couple had set out to curate an occasion that shined the spotlight on who they are as a couple, so the bride’s aisle style was the perfect reflection of decadence, luxury and style. Ahead of the ceremony, the bride made the most of having the fabulous Gianni Di Natale Photographers on hand to capture some gorgeous bridal portraits – including that all-important ‘first look’ moment with her father.
When the bride was ready, she made her way to the church, where Gianna and Marco had wanted a traditional religious ceremony. The groom was waiting at the altar, looking handsome in a classic black-tie tux which showcases his impeccable style. The vows followed, along with their first kiss as newlyweds and a ripple of cheers shared by the guests. As they stepped outside the church, they enjoyed an iconic confetti shot with red and white petals – there is no doubt that love was in the air.
The happy couple and their loved one made their way to Villa Eva to continue the celebrations, where a fun Italian band awaited the arrival of the wedding party, playing in the background as everyone mingled and sipped on champagne. Gianna, being the fashion-forward bride she is, even changed into her second aisle style with a halter neck satin gown that stole the show. Embracing the sheer romance that a wedding in Ravello has to offer, the couple continued the theme of their deep rouge colour palette throughout their wedding dinner, with tables laden with golden vases that were overflowing with pillow-soft red blooms by Amalfi Coast Florist. A scattering of candles sat alongside the floral designs and as the evening drew in, they twinkled and flickered under the night sky, effortlessly creating a relaxed and dreamy atmosphere under the marquee.
When it came to cutting their wedding cake, we had worked with the couple and the team at Villa Eva to create a true focal point, with magnificent foliage and red florals hanging gracefully above their edible masterpiece, along with glass tea lights adding a warm glow. Then it was time for the first dance, where Gianna and Marco were joined by their guests on the dance-floor, lit up in the most magical way by Antares Events.
